The history of Taxi-Herrmann did not begin with a large company, but with a courageous woman and a clear vision:

In 1957, Ella Kirschenhofer founded her first car rental company, laying the foundation for a success story that continues to this day.

In 1963, she took the next step: in a community where two taxi companies were already established, she founded another one – with the firm belief that good service and personal proximity would find their place in the market. And she was right.

A pioneering spirit that has been carried on

Over the years, the company continued to develop – always with the courage to embrace new ideas. In 1996, Ingrid Herrmann, Ella's daughter, took over the management of the business and expanded it to include its own car rental service. This created an additional source of income that continued to grow in the following years.

With the arrival of Markus Herrmann – now in the third generation – the focus shifted further towards the future. In 2007, bus transport was added as a new division to bring larger groups to their destinations safely and comfortably.

Two years later, in 2009, the company also integrated the area of patient transport in the Neckar-Odenwald district. The increasing demand for professional and reliable transport in the medical field made this step only logical.

The generational change

In January 2011, Markus Herrmann officially took over the company from his mother. With a clear focus on quality, customer service, and digitalization, he purposefully expanded the company. Long-term partnerships were formed with municipalities, schools, insurance companies, and businesses, laying the foundation for sustainable growth and stability.

Small and big stories that remain in our memory

Our everyday life consists of journeys – and each one tells its own story. The shortest journey in our company's history? 4 meters. From the old Mosbach train station directly opposite the former Rockpalast – one cross street, one smile, one true original.

The longest journey? 1021 kilometers – from the former American barracks in Dallau to the port of Marseille in France. Moments like these remain.

Today and in the future

Today, Taxi-Herrmann is a modern, medium-sized family business – rooted in the region, open to new ideas. With a large fleet of vehicles, motivated employees, and a strong network, we are there for our customers around the clock – in all weather conditions, at any time of day, with reliability and heart.
